We will host two public meetings to discuss the 2024 I-Code Updates, 2023 NEC Updates and recent State legislation updates. Meetings will be held on Monday, July 29th from 10AM-12PM and Wednesday, August 7th from 5PM - 7PM at the City of Knoxville Public Works Complex, Community Room, 3131 Morris Avenue. You do not need to sign up ahead of time.
The City of Knoxville requires anyone who applies for a permit to be associated with a registration based on their qualifications. Different types of work will require particular registration types, occasionally in conjunction with a State of Tennessee license.
As of 2022, the City of Knoxville does not require a bond for subcontractor licenses. If you reciprocate a State of Tennessee license, you should follow the State of Tennessee's guidelines. If you have any questions regarding the State of Tennessee bond requirements, please contact them.
Please select a license registration type below to learn more about its applicability, application requirements, and how to apply for licensure with the Plans Review & Inspections Office.
